The case of the escaping duck

Here, my friends, is a duck.

And not just any old duck, this is an American Wood Duck, spotted just next to my wildlife garden. He's not native to the area, and has probably escaped from a wildfowl reserve - though it's a fair distance to Pensthorpe...

He was quietly quacking to himself, with a distinct american twang.

He must have heard - we're a wildlife haven!

Eddie's Secret Garden

Prof David Bellamy says that we're a Wildlife Haven here at WRC - and he's not wrong!

Next time you're visiting, take the kids to my secret garden, where they can play hide & seek in my willow huts, climb on my oak-osaur friend and check out the bugs in their hotels and stumpary.

The garden is fair-teeming with wildlife, including birds of all kinds, butterflies, ladybirds and small children.

Soon we'll have a pond dipping station too where you can use a net to discover a multitude of creatures from the deep.

Whatever you do, don't let the rabbits in.

Wow these showers are fishing awesome. I tried them this weekend, and what a delight it was to rest my tail on a lovely warm floor whilst I hung up my towel, sat on the seat and pulled on my socks. Dried my fins in no time with the super-fast hand dryer, admired my handsome features in the mirror and shuffled out to congratulate the hard-working team who managed to get them finished against considerable odds.
I've heard some fintastic compliments about them already, including one couple who've cancelled their summer holiday in Devon so that they can come back to us again instead.
Why would anyone want to go anywhere else, that's what I'd like to know.
