I'm A 2-Shop Fish

Not content with having my own 'proper' shop down by the river, I've got this little online number I'm developing too.

Picture yourself strolling down the high street with one of these whizzy bags - replete with the image of Norfolk's most stylish fish!

Or how about one of my 'Sit on my tail & wriggle' shirts?

You love it

Barge into Waveney River Centre

The return of Alan & Muriel's barge was certainly a sight to behold from my vantage point by the marina entrance.

Unfortunately at 80 tonnes (and 80 feet long), Adjo was a bit too big even for our boat lift, so a trip to the Excelsior slipway in Lowestoft was called for, as it was time for a bottom scrub & touch up.

Apparently 1 horse can pull her along - but it takes 100 to stop her - but even 100 horses are no match for Alan, as you can see from the picture.

Next time they should try using a fish instead of a horse - they make better swimmers as a rule.

So long pikeys!

Duck!

Bread & Butter, our resident ducks, have become quite bold of late.

Fancying an ice cream on Maureen's afternoon off, they decided to try their chances with Sue at the till.

After the Clippo Shots and the Smarties went everywhere, they settled on a Mini Milk each, before being shoo'd back to the veranda.

Welcome to the bird asylum

We seem to be quite the place for birds on the run, don't we. Our latest young visitor is a Reeves Pheasant, shown here leaving the shop. Her very long tail is a giveaway as to her identity, says our wildlife expert Carl Chapman.

Apparently the home range of birds in the wild is central China, and it seems unlikely that she's flown all the way from there - so she's probably another escapee from a collection.
